Welcome Week
We’re kicking off the new school year with an induction week for all year groups. There are all sorts of fun activities on the programme. There will also be a number of form tutor sessions where pupils can meet their form tutor and classmates again and get the year off to a good start together. It’s important that pupils check Magister to see which activities are taking place, when and where.
Phone-free school
From this academic year, Haarlem College is a phone-free school. That means pupils are not allowed to use their phones anywhere on the school grounds, nor may they have them visible on their person. The rule is: at home or in the locker!
Does a pupil fail to keep to this agreement? Then the phone will be confiscated. This will be checked from the first day of school. In this way, we work together to ensure a school environment that focuses on one another, learning and connection.

Schoolbooks and diary
During the introduction week, all pupils will receive their schoolbooks. Pupils from years 1 and 2 will receive a planner (Plenda) in addition to their books. Pupils from years 3 and 4 must purchase their own planner for the 2026-2027 academic year.
We are looking forward to getting started! Together we will make it a fun, inspiring and successful school year.
