3,609 pupils have been placed!

Just like last year, every pupil has been asked to indicate a preference for their secondary school. Many pupils have explored their options widely, visited open days, and have ultimately submitted their preferred schools.

For the 2024–2025 school year, 3,609 pupils have applied to various schools in Zuid-Kennemerland. The joint school boards can report that 95% of the pupils have been allocated a place at their first-choice school. As for the remaining choices, 98.51% of pupils have been placed at a school from their top 3 and 99.1% at a school from their top 5. It was not necessary to use the seventh choice.

For pupils who were unsuccessful in gaining a place at their first-choice school, the placement procedure has been carried out under the supervision of a notary. These pupils, who have been placed in a school but not their first preference, have been contacted by phone. On 10 April, from 15:00 hrs, all schools will publish the names of the placed pupils (insofar as permission has been granted) on their website*.

In mid-June, the ‘registration and enrolment scheme’ will be evaluated. The experiences of parents and teachers will be taken into account.
