Physical and social safety
A school must be a safe place for everyone. Pupils, staff, parents and external contacts should all feel comfortable in our building. This applies to both physical and social safety. Nowadays, safety when using social media is also part of this.
Joint responsibility
Safety is a collective effort. Therefore, we consider it important to hold each other accountable. This applies to everyone who has dealings with the Haarlem College. To ensure the daily proceedings remain pleasant, we have established a few simple school rules. You can read more extensively about safety within the Haarlem College in the school safety plan. You can view this by pressing the button below.
Disclosure obligation for domestic violence, child abuse and maltreatment
All employees of an educational institution are legally obliged to follow a step-by-step plan when they notice or suspect domestic violence or child abuse. All employees of an educational institution are also legally obliged to report suspicions of sexual abuse by an employee towards a minor pupil to the competent authority.
More information about the reporting code and mandatory reporting can be found at https://www.schoolenveiligheid.nl/
