Thinking and doing

In addition to basic, framework, and VMBO-T (Mavo) education, we have also been offering HAVO at Haarlem College since the academic year 2024-2025. The HAVO at Haarlem College is distinguished by a balance between thinking and doing. By adding a practical component alongside theory, we maintain high motivation and keep students engaged.

In your first year, you'll be introduced to our vocational pathways, and in the senior years, you'll follow a practical-oriented programme alongside theoretical subjects such as Dutch, English, and Mathematics. This way, we ensure that you are even better prepared for your further studies, the professional field, and your place in society.

Attention to you

At Haarlem College, we put a lot of focus on you. By working with small classes, there is plenty of room for personal attention. We also offer good support for pupils who need it.

Inspiring subjects and learning environment

At Haarlem College, you'll be taught in an inspiring environment. You'll make use of all the modern facilities we at Haarlem College have to offer and get to work with subjects like Smart Tech and Spanish. At Haarlem College, we have our own professional theatre, modern sports halls, and a Techlab with VR headsets, drones, and robots. All the ingredients are there for you to showcase your talents.

Better connection to further training

You'll undertake company visits and receive real-life assignments. This is how you'll learn to apply theory directly in practice, and be even better prepared for your further studies.
