In some regions or at specific schools, a lottery system is used due to the high number of applications. On average, one in six children in the Netherlands is subject to a lottery when applying for a secondary school place. In the cities of Amsterdam, Rotterdam and The Hague, this figure stands at 40% of children. Pupils from the major cities are increasingly looking for a secondary school outside their own region. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Directly situated on Schipholweg, Haarlem College is easily accessible from Amsterdam-West by train and a direct bus connection.
